Parental involvement

Parents also have a very important role in school-career choices. Because research shows that parents have a lot of influence on the choice process of their children. But this can change if we support parents in helping them choose.

The parent's image of certain education and professions may not be correct (anymore). Unconsciously, parents can steer their child in a certain direction. The same applies when choosing further education. Which courses offer good employment prospects and which type of work suits him/her. New courses are constantly being added and other courses are being discontinued. Existing courses are also changing. By investigating the possibilities, parents and their child can assess multiple courses and professions based on experience, instead of on the basis of a vague picture.
